Hoarcat
The hoarcat somewhat resembles the mountain lions indigenous to the American continent, though significantly smaller, and shares that creature’s great adaptability. Where a mountain lion is primarily a solitary hunter, however, hoarcats demonstrate a strong pack mentality. Indeed, a single hoarcat poses little threat, but a whole pride can take down larger game and strip the carcass with surprising efficiency.
Native to the mountain ranges to the north and west of Malifaux, the hoarcat has established itself as a vicious predator. It is well-adapted to that sparse climate and any creature encountered is a possible source of food. Especially daring in large numbers, hoarcats have been known to attack humans on horseback, and there is even a report of a wagon succumbing to a hoarcat attack.
