Doppleganger

One of the most dangerous capabilities exhibited by the Neverborn is the ability to assume an innocuous shape. Many of the higher order Neverborn specimens appear strikingly human, providing them a way to infiltrate the City and perpetrate gruesome crimes.

Certain Neverborn have demonstrated the ability to mimic the appearance and abilities of those around them. The ramifications of this capability are frightening, with Neverborn impersonating human officials. The threat of infiltration has inspired the Guild to develop a comprehensive psychological test meant to identify Neverborn Doppelgangers. Whether the test works or not is uncertain, but the Guild has used this test as grounds to execute troublesome rabble-rousers.
